 The MCI Center is one of Washington’s top sports attractions. Besides serving as home to the NBA’s Wizards, the WNBA’s Mystics, College Basketball’s Georgetown Hoyas, and the NHL’s Capitals, the MCI Center contains the National Sports Gallery, the American Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame and the Discovery Store.
Completed in 1997, the MCI center is a family oriented sports complex. Visitors can participate in the exhibits and interactive sports skill games at the National Sports Gallery, a 25,000 square-foot gallery within the MCI Center, or take a guided tour of the arena that includes the team locker rooms, the arena floor and the pressroom.
